This center is a non-profit and take in clients for research. Because of this they have a strict regulations to control their variables. Unfortunately, some people are accepted then unaccepted. So, please be aware that the bad reviews are because they were denied access probably in an inconvenient way. Again, this is a NPO which means the workers may not be competent as a trauma clinic that charges standard fees (such as $300 per session). Remember, this place is FREE and for people with low income. I've been through this clinic twice, first time I took CPT and second time they re-accepted me since my issues were very complex and it helped their research. I took the NPT at the CSULB location. I am forever grateful to this clinic for pushing me towards the direction of my healing journey. It really breaks my heart that people were rejected but again, remember this place is free and it literally saves so many lives. They have a very long wait-list because they are the only clinic in Southern California that offers this free service for our community's mental health. Thank you Trauma Clinic of LB. Forever grateful.

Amateur hour. The only thing they specialize in regarding trauma is inflicting more. Empathy is not a fluent language here. Protect yourself and your loved ones.

I have gone through trauma my whole life and was actively going through trauma while I applied here. When i applied I informed them of my autism and my medical marijuana use for said autism. 5 months later I get assigned to a therapist and am really looking forward to getting some help. I meet with my therapist and inform her of my trauma, abandonment issues, etc. After 2 sessions I am informed that they can not work with me due to the medical marijuana use which was mentioned before I even got on the wait list. They recommended me to some very insulting and ableist disability centers instead. Thanks for adding to my abandonment issues because the only person I thought could help me gave up on me before the intake was even completed.
