Power of One Self-Defense

My 10 year old daughter has been coming to Po1 for 1.5 years and loves it. The boost weve seen in her confidence, discipline, and focus has been incredible. After a year or so, she was hesitant to advance to the next level because she was afraid of sparring and nervous about incorporating weapons to her training. In the last couple of months shes been doing private lessons once a week with Mr. Serrano and once again her confidence has just skyrocketed. His lessons have given her the courage and confidence to try things she never thought shed want to do and also try things she didnt think shed be good at which is huge progress for her. My favorite thing about Po1 is the way they really get to know each student and they adapt and adjust their lessons to best support them physically, emotionally, and mentally.

My daughter has been with Po1 for roughly 5 years. She loves it and hopes one day she will get her black belt. She has grown so much over the years thanks to the Po1 crew! :)

2 of my 3 kids have been doing karate for just about 3 years. The staff is knowledgeable, passionate, and patient. The owners and staff make sure to know their families. The facility is clean. My kids have learned so much. They are both on the Black Belt Club. They have a number of classes/days/times to fit your schedule. I have joined the kickboxing class. I feel so empowered. My health and mental health has improved greatly! I highly recommend for anyone to participate in any one of the classes offered.

What can I say? My 9-year-old has been a student with Power of One since she was 6 and has loved every minute of the past 3 years under their tutelage. The instructors are incredible; kind, caring, tough and learned in their craft. They make classes fun but also challenging and Ive watched not only my own kid but so many more learn the importance of discipline, integrity, courtesy and respect. Po1 is a martial arts studio that teaches multiple fighting styles from American Kenpo to Brazilian Jiujitsu (another class my child takes - that she absolutely loves!) but also Kickboxing, weapons training, Womens Self Defense classes, you name it! Oh! And tournaments! Not only have students here represented their studio across the world. But Po1 holds inter-dojo tourneys every six months or so, giving all ages and belt levels the opportunity to put their skills to the test. If you could have seen the look on my kids face when she won gold in the BJJ portion of the tournament, it would be enough to inspire anyone to want to know what that sense of accomplishment feels like.
