Usually have a great experience with fair service writers, until today.
Last week had an issue and was quoted $185 for a diagnosis of the issue, but was advised to wait until the problem light was on consistently to make the diagnosis easier for the technician.
When dropping off the car, i was first presented a $555 inspection fee.
Three times what was quoted a week earlier, was reduced to 2 the amount of $360 after asking about the price increase.
Had to choose a Ford location that has the specialty tools to inspect the vehicle & it's just sad that there's not much consistency in the service dept. When it comes to writing up and charging services.
