Caffe Luxxe

we must've visited on a really off day for this business because everything just seemed like it was lacking or missing something. it all started with the line to order which was out the door and the cashier was extremely slow and you could see the other workers just taking their time with the orders and no sense of urgency. we ordered a few items off the menu including a sandwich which had 1 small sliver of lettuce, a cinnamon roll that was so flat it almost looked like a pancake and tasted like the dough was raw or undercooked. our coffees were also watered down or had too much milk and not enough of the espresso even though an extra shot was requested. we had a cappuccino which was luke warm when we took it to our table and our iced vanilla latte was too sweet when my partner asked for it with only 1 pump of the vanilla because we don't like them to be too sweet to begin with. i'd like to give them another shot but i think i'm better off going to another location and that won't be until sometime in the future.

I went as part of the Elite Event and was graciously gifted a bag of coffee and a free coffee beverage of my choice. I also wanted to have something sweet to go along with it. I asked for something not super sweet though... and staff recommended the flowerless chocolate cake which I already had an eye on. The chocolate cake was moist and deliciously chocolaty. In combination with the relaxed view of the Marina I had a great afternoon coffee time!

Located right by the beautiful Alamitos Bay Marina in the 2nd and PCH district, this cafe serves a variety of delicious coffee drinks and pastries. I tried the mocha and the sinfully delicious Chocolate banana croissant. The croissant was served perfectly warm, and mocha was a little cooler side with the milk otherwise perfect and not too sweet. The staff were very cheerful and friendly, the inside and outside seating areas were clean, spacious and comfortable. Id recommend taking a walk around the marina. :) Parking: street parking spaces in front of were all taken, but there is a huge lot for the Marina, so no worries!

SCAM SCAM SCAM.. I TRIED TO POST A 1 STAR REVIEW ON THEIR SITE AND THEY MONITOR IT AND WOULD NOT POST IT.. COINCIDENTALLY ALL THEIR REVIEWS ARE 5 STAR EVERYWHERE.. NEVER TRUST A COMPANY THAT WONT POST HONEST REVIEWS ABOUT NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES.. INSTEAD OF FIXING IT, THEY IGNORE IT..

The girls are so nice and good energy it makes me wake up even before I have my coffee. I enjoy the subtle taste of the caramel macchiato and the alfajores cookies are a must. The atmosphere is nice spacious and clean.
