I had a great experience with LACADA Long Beach nine months of outpatient treatment, I felt encouraged and supported the whole time. The groups are educational, warm, and welcoming. The entire staff is always available and supportive of my recovery.

It is my first visit to this place and my personal opinion was that they treated me very well, the staff was very friendly and very clear with what they explained about the program they give and for my part I recommend them.

The system is what's wrong with this country. I have a son who needs help, was court ordered to go to this place and when he was ready turns out they do not have a bed for him. Left him on the streets knowing he can replapse. The streets are full of people who need help and when they ask for it, there's places like this one who just clock in to get a paycheck. The coordinator is not very nice of course because I have been very blunt of how they are failing my son. They are working in these programs for a paycheck not to help people who really need it. Addiction is a disease, would a hospital turn down some one with cancer if they needed help? No!! But the system looks at addicts as the low of the low, they forgot they are people too, they are someone's son, parents, uncles, brother.
