Green Leaf Furniture Repair

My daughters inherited an old cabinet from their mother, made in Sweden, likely in the 19th century.  A family heirloom, it needed to be restored.One of them searched out furniture restorers and found Green Leaf.  She spoke to the proprietor Peter Brown and decided to hire him to take on this task.I got involved at this point.  I brought the cabinet to Peter's shop in Oakland and we had a long discussion about what had to be done.  I was extremely impressed with how much he saw that needed to be done.  He wrote it up and the list was 3 pages long!  Needless to say, it was thorough.  And it showed his experience. I don't remember now how long he estimated it would take to complete the job, maybe a month, so was surprised when he called to say it was done early, a week or two early.The finished product looks great.   A sign of the service he provides, he showed me how to wax the cabinet and what products he used to do it.  We couldn't be happier with it.Peter cares about what he does and it shows in his workmanship.  In addition he's a nice and thoughtful person.  His fee for doing this job seemed very reasonable.  Highest recommendation.

My experience with green leaf furniture was amazing! Peter, the owner, is an expert in furniture repair and was able to repair (and reinforce) my poorly designed bed.  Peter even made two trips to our place to complete the repairs and was super communicative the entire time! So thankful we found green leaf!

We purchased and had shipped to us a rather expensive brand new dresser that arrived with the base broken. The furniture company chose to ship us a replacement dresser and left it to us to dispose of the broken item. Rather than throw it out, Peter did an excellent job repairing the dresser base so it's like new.  Now we have two dressers for the price of one! Thanks, Peter!

I had a teak dining room chair with a badly broken leg damaged in a move. Peter, the Greenleaf principal, repaired it so well I couldn' t tell which leg had been broken. The chair is better than when it was new. I will bring any other furniture repairs to him without hesitation. High quality work at reasonable rates.
