MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center

I'd like to give a higher rating, but their telephone appointment line is incomplete and confusing. Turns out after waiting half an hour on the phone, I had to call a different number for a department not listed in the main announcement. Parking can be challenging at this facility, especially when people park in the MemorialCare lot rather than pay to park in adjacent buildings like UCI Health. Insufficient disabled parking means that for over a dozen visits recently, I was unable to park in a disabled space.

My father just spent multiple days here following a stroke. Everyone was fantastic. I couldnt be more positive about the experience and the staff. Luis was a fantastic nurse! All the various therapeutic specialists were a pleasure to have in the room and Dr Ghazvini is perhaps the best doctor Ive ever interacted with. Thank you everyone at Saddleback!

I had a kidney stone surgery there; I went to operating room and got anesthesia but the laser equipment for breaking the stone did't work! So they sent me home and I had to come back to that hospital one week later, to undergo the same painful surgery for the second time. The first unsuccessful surgery doubled my pain and all my after surgery symptoms. I sent a complaint to the hospital (risk and management department) but no one replied, even I called them and left the message but they they didn't call me back! very very bad experience!

Went to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain on the upper right side, I checked in with the receptionist and sat in the waiting area. Within less than 3 minutes I was called to the back and was provided a hospital bed. I received pain meds that kicked in very quickly. They did a CT scan and an ultrasound. They discovered I got an inflamed gallbladder so they did further testing with a HIDA scan, the HIDA scan required me to lie still for an hour but the guy who was conducting the test was cool enough to play music of my choice and it was late at night so I was sleeping the whole time. So they confirmed that Ill need my gallbladder removed so I was moved upstairs to my own hospital room. The next day I had surgery and spent one more night at the hospital. Saddleback Memorial is the best hospital in South OC, the staff, surgeons, doctors, and nurses made my experience so much comfortable, they walked me through every procedure, I really appreciate everything they have done for me during my stay.
