Phone line goes dead when transferring to speak with anyone. I'm still trying to get ahold of the hospital & no answer. I was given the run around when I asked for residential care for the patient and when I stated upon pick up "he's going to harm himself again, I'm going to have to bury my son." The rep stated "I know" and then giggled like I had said a joke. ...I'm now needing to speak to someone regarding my son's missing wallet that was shown to him upon release but not put in his bag with all his other property.

If I could give this place a negative number, I most certainly would. I was on a 5150, due to the suicide of my sister. It was 2 weeks to the day of my sister's suicide that I was hospitalized. I was hoping to work through my grief but instead, they offered crayons and coloring books to us because obviously they deemed us as sub inferior, intellectually, to them, the staff. Not only that, there was verbal abuse, dismissiveness and laughing at patients by mental health aids and nurses that not only I experienced but witnessed when the staff thought I hadn't heard and seen. I had asked the nurse, whose name I will not disclose as of yet, for the number of Legal aid, he refused and told me I had to go through, Michael B, the patient advocate and I could find his number on the wall. I later found out from another nurse that he was supposed to give me Legal aids number. I called the "patient advocate, Michael, but never heard back from him for ten days. There is a female, named Kat, that is supposedly a supervisor. I contacted her. She appeared interested but I knew in my gut that it was only surface. So? After a "sit down" with the two of them, they promised to look into the cameras that would validate my claims; they didn't. After my clothes were stolen? I decided to leave AMA. I was told in person by Michael that if my clothes weren't found, they would issue a check on that Friday. Well? I've been calling for 12 days. I have been hung up on and even blocked by them. I decided to *69 tonight and they immediately knew who I was and said "Taylor" would be better suited to help me. I left a VM. 3/12/24 UPDATE: My concerns were not RESOLVED and Michael B, you know this. On top of that, my clothes were neither returned (the stolen ones in my marked paper bag used to place laundry, bag taken too) nor was a replacement check issued to me as promised, if my clothes were not found. You sarcastically feigning "confusion" simply reflects your maturity level

I just left Aliso Ridge 01.15.24 , it was my first time ever in a mental hospital. and my experience was not as bad as I thought. the staff (some of them) are okay. but not all , they are not very supportive. I have seen kids breakdown and scream and ask for help and it was just a stare and a look and that was it not no help was given. if you are strong enough then this place is good for you. if your emotional i DO NOT recommend this place:).
