        I've been eating around a grill for many years - a friend and I stopped in for a quick bite of an old favorite - the stuffed poblano pepper. It laughed many of the key ingredients that made the original recipe so great there was no texture no substance only creamy and artichokes. Same great atmosphere, but one poblano pepper and two glasses of wine left the bill at 60.00.

        Phenomenal. The staff, the atmosphereand the foodall of it. They are doing all the things right. I will come back to Laguna if only to visit Nirvana.

        It was advertised as a vegan place but had poor vegan/ vegetarian choices. The wine choices were OK. It was an OK place. The ambience was fairly OK. Service was also OK. If you lived in Laguna, it is OK. But nothing spectacular about this place

        Something has changed badly here. Typically a favorite there no longer is table service. There's hardly service at all. You order at the counter which was very understaffed. A young guy was doing a masterful job of trying to juggle it all! We didn't stay.

      We appriciate your comments about your experience. While we have continued to try to keep the restaurant a bit less formal and have some more accessible menu items and lower pricing on some items that are on the new menu, we have moved back to serving tableside with a friendly and more relaxed service and removed the counter service aspect. It was a trial to see in our shoulder season solutions to labor, but after feedback, and the environment we would like to create, we have moved back to full service with a more casual feel. Thank you for your feedback. In the future, feel free to call and discuss with us directly so we can understand better how your experience was and how we can do better.
