image Do yourself a favor: Get in touch with Ray as soon as possible. This guy has helped change my life. I had some health problems and as hard as it is to admit I was completely out of shape. In a matter of two months training with Ray once a week and going to his bootcamp once a week(along with Cardio on the side + a good diet) I was able to change my health around completely and start to lead a normal life again. It's hard to take that first step, but once you do Ray is with you every step of the way motivating you to push yourself. "Suck it up now so you don't have to suck it in later."  - RW3

image Ray will kick your body's ass. My cousin took me here while I visited. It was $10. I hadn't worked out in ages (and later felt the week toll it took on my sore body!). It was refreshing, difficult, and I am really glad he let me take breaks for my first time!

image I bought a month Groupon in January and was eager to start my workout as a new years resolution. Turns out they were booked for months until I was able to start in June, which was frustrating at the time. That being said, I now understand why RW3 boot camp is so popular. Ray never repeats the exact same routine, but here's how I would generally describe the classes that I've been to:MW 6pm-7pm: -About half the time is outside and reminds me of middle school P.E. We'll do exercises that include more cardio: running back and forth, lunges, jump rope, bands with partners (this one is hard for me cause I'm little- so when I'm pulling I don't really go anywhere, and when I'm supposed to hold the other person back I get dragged along instead!)-The other half of the time is inside a dance studio: sometimes working with free weights, abs, arm toning, etc. When the room is crowded, it gets really hot in there and the mirror fogs up (ew gross man)- but Ray says we gotta "sweat like a pig to look like a fox! " (side note, he has lots of these corny but entertaining catch phrases. careful, you'll start saying them too)TTh 7pm-8pm:-This class is at a high end gym and we'll do circuits that utilize the equipment (treadmill, trx ropes, weights, etc). Each station goes for a minute of intense work out and he'll make anywhere from 5-14 stations and round out the remaining time with other core exercises. I like this cause it makes the time go by faster! Sat 8am:-Beach, around la jolla: M-Th are all tough, but Sat is tough+sand. All in all, RW3 is a great workout and Ray is both motivating and accommodating to your personal level. I continued my membership after my Groupon expired and have been going regularly. While it does cost more than running around the block or "going to the gym", at least it'll get you off your butt and is completely worth the investment in your health and body.

image I've been going here for three months now. There is a reason why I didn't quit. Because Ray's workouts WORK. He's super motivating so if you're like me and need that extra push to get moving, Ray is the guy for you! I love that he changes up the workout every time. We do a lot of circuits TTH so it's a total body workout and totally effective, Ray pushes you to do your best which I love. I feel more active in my daily routine and I have a lot more energy in general after going to Ray's class! Ray is super accommodating and will modify the workouts to fit your needs. So even though it's a group class, its like you have your own personal trainer!  I recommend this class for everyone.

image At first, I was kind of nervous about "boot camp" and did not know what to expect. But I have to say that it was one of the best decisions of my life. I attended Ray's boot camps for about 3 months and lost about 20 pounds. Every workout was different and challenging in its own way and the hour passes by so quickly. Ray pushes you hard and gives you special attention to make sure that you are meeting your goals. the classes and the people in it are awesome. Everyone pushes each other and there is no shame. I found myself craving his classes and that great feeling you get after each workout, knowing that you worked hard and pushed yourself. There are people from all kinds of backgrounds from people like me who are trying to lose weight and people who are veteran athletes, sweating buckets after an hour with Ray. He is an awesome trainer and motivator who will push you farther than you knew you could go. My favorite Ray-ism?..."This ain't no Baby Gap!" I love Ray's classes and wish that everyone I know could go!
