We made an appointment with Smart Pest Control to have our kitchen inspected. The initial thought was that we had a termite problem. Upon the technician's arrival, Aaron, he introduced himself and asked where the damaged was located. I walked him into the kitchen and pointed out the area we thought was termite infested. Upon completing and internal/ exterior inspection Aaron identified the problem and it was not related to termites. Instead, he pointed out a section of the outside roof where some of the lumber underneath the clay tiles had rotted out and was the source of the problem. With all of the rain we have been getting this winter, the moisture was penetrating the roof underlayment, rooting out the wood and ultimately, damaging the interior wall. After discovering the source of the problem in our kitchen, Aaron walked the perimeter of our property to see if there were any areas showing termite damage; luckily there was not. However, he did make some recommendations on some minor wood repairs. Throughout the inspection, Aaron came across as a knowledgeable and friendly person. I appreciated his candor, friendly demeanor and his technical skills level. In the future, If I need to reach out to a termite specialist, you can rest assured I'll be calling Smart Pest Control and requesting Aaron 's services. Thanks, Aaron!
