Hoag Medical Group - Pediatrics - Huntington Beach

After 5 years and 3-4 different peds at the HB location we have finally parted ways with Hoag. Long over due. From the clueless office staff, even worse billing and (not gonna name names) Doctors that only care about spending 5 min max per patient and treat you as if you're a hypochondriac about your kids. With my 3rd kid having a lot of REAL health issues that were ignored ignored ignored, my baby did not receive the care she deserved. Especially if you have HMO insurance, it's like pulling teeth to get a referral to any specialist that your child needs. Awful bedside manner. I often felt like I was being belittled. I'm extremely happy with our new ped right down the road. Ditch this place don't wait like I did.

with a little daughter we drove 1.5 hours to our time and were 15 minutes late because they had the wrong address! dr. Zapadinsky moved in the different office and didn't send the address where she works. 3 hours on the road is awful!

A friend referred me to Dr Tolly when I was in search of a pediatrician for my son Maxwell. I feel like words cannot describe the amount of gratitude and trust I have for the care her and her team provide to my son. This was my first so I had a lot of questions and concerns and she was always there to help along the way. She uses evidence based practice in her care with Max and I appreciate that. It's not difficult to make an appointment with her or her team either. We are usually in and out of there when we come in. Lastly I wanted to say thank you to Janice O for being such a great nurse. I had some concerns the day prior to my sons surgery and she provided me with education and interventions to mitigate the issue we were having - AND she was even kind enough to check on Max the next day. If you ever get a chance to read this, I hope you know that I really appreciated your quality patient care to my son. Thank you again! Thank you for taking such great care of my little guy! Your team is extraordinary!

2 Stars because we use to like it here but lately it seems when we need them they don't even answer the phone. We spent the first time 2 days calling and nothing so we dropped in and they said too busy so we sat in Urgent care for 3 hours. This time I'm on hold and I doubt the lazy workers in the front don't answer so looks like I'll head to  memorial urgent care since our pediatrician office is too busy. And every time we tried "my chart" to make an appointment that never seemed to work so if you need a pedestrian office that actually answer a phone during business to  hours I'd recommend another office. Also instead of having us wait on hold on hopes someone answers can't you just tell us you ain't answering the damn phones so we don't wait like idiots!
