My best friend just called me up crying from work after receiving a text message from ServPro that they were threatening to put a lean on her for payment. The job is unfinished and started about 6 months ago. It was a simple bathroom job. Upfront she asked Oscar if she could do a couple of upgrades instead of replacements and as long as she covered the extra cost, she was told it would not be a problem but it was a problem. The worker took it upon himself to pick out the parts and when asked for something different he said no, it was over the cost. Even though it was clear that the difference would be covered. The bathtub shower combo was replaced with just a shower as she asked after much debate. The vanity and mirror was at cost, but since the mirror was not in the contract she paid cash, the medicine cabinet, around 100 ft of floor with the baseboard, and two sheets of sheet rock with paint. Im still trying to compute how $2,000 in material equals an $8,000 job, incomplete job at that. There has been little communication about finishing the job. Theres gab next to the medicine cabinet, the mirror is crooked, and the sliding shower doors miss the safety bumper. Yet, they want to be paid in full. I was already upset about the $5,000 she paid upfront when normal contractors charge 10-20% of the job. I told her to ask for a detailed receipt. Considering how the numbers dont add up to an $8,000 job, Im doubtful in ever seeing this. Now theyre texting her threatening a lean. I dont recommend this company. Its too bad my dad retired after 30 years of being a general contractor. UPDATE: received a phone call the very next day that Christy was going to personal handle this. Then nothing. Apparently, Christy no longer works there. Then some communication with Angie. Danny did come out to fix these issues. However, Oscar has yet to come out for the final walk through and we have yet to receive an itemized receipt. However, did receive a certified legal correspondence for the estimate given. My best friend has been communicating with Angie and Amanda asking for a good date for Oscar to stop by with the receipt. The only time Oscar communicated with her was to pickup up payment while she was at work on March 22. Today is April 9 still no walk through. No itemized receipt. Thanks for the certified letter and the willingness Oscar had to disrupt her at her job. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. DISAPPOINTING. UNPROFESSIONAL.

He is workmanship is great, and his friendly yet professional manner put me at ease. I like that he was very flexible and was able to come to my home on a short notice.
