I came on a last minute trip and it was affordable! I enjoyed my time at the hostel, I appreciated the fact that I could book a female only room. The surrounding area is beautiful and super walkable. Because its situated near restaurants and bars, it definitely isnt super quiet at night, but if you can sleep through the noise, its a great place to stay! Walkability: Super walkable! A lot of stores were in the same general area or short walk away. If you plan to get picked up/ dropped off for places further away, its from the back parking lot. Food & drinks: So many places nearby. If you dont want to make breakfast at the hostel, the nearby restaurants dont really open until 9/10 am, but there are a few I saw that opened earlier.

Good proposal according to price/quality, with several opportunities for improvement. Only climb stairs, take this detail into account if you have a lot of luggage. Rooms: Rustic private room in good condition and with a very good view. Small private bathroom but with everything necessary. Nearby activities: Excellent location in relation to Hermosa Beach, on a pedestrian walk. I read a lot about noise from the bar but I didn't feel it like that at least on the 2nd floor Food & drinks: Breakfast: Even if you go on time, you can pay but not receive it because they don't replenish it (7-9am). There are eggs, bread, fruits but no one controls/manages so I had pancakes for breakfast and watched as guests made 5 eggs each leaving the rest with nothing. On the 2nd day the same time (8am) and I couldn't even make pancakes, we had lucky that one of the employees had not had breakfast and started preparing pancakes. I asked and they did not replenish them. Noteworthy details: My bus was delayed for 3 hours, arriving after midnight. I called and asked if they would please wait for me and the guy insisted that I not go, that no one was going to open the post for me at 12 at night. I had no choice but to sleep at the door... I call later and the employee tells me that they will wait for me... so we calm down. At check-in he tells me that someone is always there 24 hours a day, so I never understood why one of the 3 guys I saw, I never knew which one answered the phone... he insisted that even though I had my reservation, I wouldn't go :(
