100% recommend this shop! I have a 1973 Chevy / Grumman Olson P30 Step Van I swapped a 5.7/350 crate motor into and needed my SM465 rebuilt for heavy duty tow application and reliability. The owner was incredibly helpful, before, during and after the rebuild. The van is half a century old and people who posses the experience and knowledge of how to properly repair vehicles of this vintage are of incredibly short supply. The owner called me several times to inquire about replacing parts that seemed out of spec or in need of refurbishment, ensuring the final product was absolutely perfect. The price was fair, which is again a very rare occurrence these days. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Craig rebuilt my transmission for my 97 Ford F-150. Now it is the smoothest most perfect transmission I've ever driven. It wasn't easy finding someone to work on a standard transmission. I'm extremely grateful for California Standard Transmission, my truck is drivable again. Very much worth the wait (2 weeks). It was easy to find someone to pull the transmission out to take to California Standard Transmission (only bring your transmission). Same person put it back in.
