I called 6 different contractors in the area. They either didn't return my calls, or wanted to schedule me for quote months away. Manada roofing was out within a day to give me a quote. After I payed the initial deposit, I had expected it to take a couple weeks to order material (I'd selected an slightly unusual color), and get the permit from the city. Instead, they called me a couple days later, and wanted to start the job that weekend. They had the job done that week. I'm super thrilled with their attention to detail. From every flashing, sealing around chimneys correctly, and even replaced a bit of trim that was falling apart. They patched the plywood where my old roof vents were, and set up the ridgeline for a venting. They even took my replacement attic vent away and covered it in the same sandy material as the shingles! Even the city's inspector was impressed and said that he always sees good work from these guys. I'm thrilled with the result, and I have the best looking roof in the whole neighborhood now! My only regret - if you can call it that - is knowing we won't see Manada Roofing again. Why? Because Manada Roofing worked closely with us to address our safety during the covid-19 pandemic from bid to invoice. Because they did such a great job with our new steel, fire- resistant, standing seam roof. Because their crew was on-time, focused and took care of details. Removing the old roof, repairing the decking and laying underlayment to installing the new roof (and tidying up) only took six workdays. Major price gouging! They called me at 6 PM the night before my appointment to tell me it would be a $400 fee just to look at the roof. We told them exactly what we needed and they could just give us a price plus we had provided pictures prior to the appointment. I have never had a roofing company charge to come out and look at a roof. And $400 is gouging to say the least. I would never use this company. If they charge $400 for a 10 minute appointment you can imagine what they would charge for repairs or to replace the roof. Plenty of other honest roofers out there.
