        He seems to be very honest because he could find information and just with that. I would justify his fees. Instead, he provided me with resources to find out by myself, and if needed, he can represent me. He also explained the process. Others were charging me upfront, and he (Mr Sergio) just a consultation fee. Therefore, in the case that I needed a representation in court, he would be the one I prefer.

        I did not get a chance to speak with Mr. Benavides. I appreciate that Mr. Benavidas will not offer free legal advice - I in fact commend him on focusing his time on the clients who are paying him, I dont think it is appropriate that his team will not answer basic questions such as the average cost of a K1 visa or whether they charge for manual visa work at a paralegal hourly rate or a lawyer hourly rate. These are not legal questions, these are billing questions that should not require a paid consultation. The Visa processes can have some chance of higher cost based on the complexity but the basic process does not have a lot of variation so the assertion that there can be no pricing guidance doesn't line up with reality. As I read other reviews where potential clients could not agree on a price I am concerned I will pay $250 only to find out that his services are more expensive than others.

      You called to ask for a consultation, we told you that you have to pay, and you answered that you don't have money. OKAY. We told you more than once that legal fees are not given without consultation. You continued insisting on prices. They don't happen without knowing all the facts of a case, and that's what consultation is for. Good luck with your case. If there are no funds, that is what the public defender exists for. You will not have have to pay anything to them. They are excellent graduates too.

Some people complain about paying for a consultation. I get it. It may seem expensive at first, but when people come in, I make sure to give them a lot of information. I want you to get your money's worth. If I can come up with a solution during our consultation that saves you time, money, and effort, I will give it. Best of luck.

      I'm sorry if our office did not respond. We answer phones from 9-5, Monday thru Friday, with a break between 12-1pm for lunch. We usually reply to all calls and emails.       I discuss everything in my consultations: the potential client’s personal facts, the law, the process, timelines and fees. I don’t discuss fees without having some idea what a person’s case involves. Then I know how much to charge. Do you call a mechanic and demand to know, without a proper diagnosis, HOW MUCH? Do you do that with a doctor? I keep very busy, and so for me to take time away from clients to focus on someone else’s case and situation requires me to charge. The fee is worth your money, as I provide a lot of useful information during consultations. Thank you for your feedback.
