Bertha campos , and Mrs. Arreola have the ugliest attitudes I have ever interacted with. (York elementary) They are not very helpful when it comes to giving information/ need anything from the office. Its almost as if it bothers them that the parents come in to ask questions. The school nor the Hawthorne school district care about these students. I attended this school as a child and I was forced to apologize to my 1st grade teacher Mrs. Perez after she called my mom stupid and my dad a drunk in-front of the class. They made it seem as if I lied and brushed it under the carpet. I enrolled my kids there as that is our home school and my son is special needs the school failed in helping my son they did the opposite of what my sons physiologist recommended. Mrs. Arreola her self told me to go with my instincts after feeling bad for us Im sure. They were quick to kick us out as I have no proof of moving back in with my parents in Hawthorne after my divorce. The district dropped my 5th , 1st and Tk students in less then a week. My children will not even attend their school of residence as they are full. Its either that or scatter my children in different schools. I am forced to enroll my children in the Lennox school district with my ex partners address since all my mail goes there. I have been treated welcoming at the Lennox school district and the staff is very welcoming and friendly I enrolled my kids in one day, and already my son will be assessed for his iep. If you care about your childs education re think about this school as an option. There is teachers / and some stuff who are wonderful and that are caring about the students, but there is also a lot of them that do not care. As soon as you walk into the office you will realize that its already a bad choice and that is very sad.

They are not professional with IEP kids, autistic kids no help for kids and no support to parents. and a lot of bullying and no control, no supervision.... well to start, my son had autism, and other children started hitting him and bullying him and the Hawthorne district didn't help me at all, and those who work taking the evaluations They don't care what one's mother designs, the only very professional people are those in the office, the girls, the secretaries. My son was in teacher's grade and couldn't even write his name but for them nothing happened, this was at Jefferson elementary school in Hawthorne California.

Because there are times when they don't help you the way you need, that's why I like it at the same time and at the same time I don't.
