Michelle's Backyard Hawthorne

I only have great things to say about Michelle's Backyard in Hawthorne! My now 1.5-year-old daughter started as one of the first children when MBH opened a couple of months ago. It's always hard to leave your child in the care of others but the teachers here are so loving and kind. I love that they spend so much time outside, not afraid of getting dirty while playing, exploring, and learning. We get daily updates through an app about what activities and projects they are working on - you can see the time and effort the staff puts into thinking about great things to do with them. My daughter learned so many new words since being here! They also plan excursions and events for the whole family (we will have our first event in a few weeks), a great opportunity to meet the other parents and maybe make friends along the way?

I bet they secretly wear capes under their clothes because they're no less than superheroes in my eyes. My three kids went to Michelle's original location. Since Michelle is overseeing this new location as well you should expect a nirvana of creativity and outdoor play. They're not just building a preschool; they're constructing a launchpad for the future's most creative minds. Every day we've been there has been a revelation. My kids come home with tales of adventure, creativity, and lessons learned, all wrapped up in the guise of 'just another day at preschool'. And the best part? This place isn't just meeting my expectations; it's like they looked at my expectations, laughed, and pole-vaulted over them.
