    I have never consistently worked out for more than two weeks at a time because I am an instant gratification person and get frustrated by not seeing results immediately. I am going through my first benchmark week after 5 weeks of working out 3x a week, mostly at 5 a.m. To say I never thought I'd be a 5 a.m. gym person is an understatement. I left my benchmarking sessions this week and burst into tears - happy tears, at what I've been able to accomplish in just a short period. Because of my size, I was worried about embarrassing myself with what I would not be able to do, but exercises are modified but challenging. Every person I have met has been so encouraging and supportive and nice. They literally cheer for you - the members and the coaches. It has given me the courage to try things I didn't think were possible. I have said the only thing missing that would get me more hooked was stickers. Going through benchmarking, I earned a t-shirt, water bottle and stickers (which is hilarious, but I love it!) I appreciate the feedback I get so I know I'm doing the exercises correctly. I do not leave feeling bad for what I could not do, but instead, excited to go back and push myself a little more. I started here figuring I would do the 30-day special that I signed up for. I didn't have any particular goals in mind other than learning some technique. I have lost some weight. I learned some important nutrition and dietary information. I wake up and can walk without pain (or less noticeable pain.) More importantly, I feel better physically and mentally and that is worth its weight in gold.

    Village Fitness provided a wake up call in my overall fitness level. By working in small group sessions with a dedicated coach, my strength increased as well as making me more limber. My ability to hike at a greater speed and a larger number of miles with very little fatigue was something I did not expect right away. This occurred in just a couple of weeks from starting my sessions with Village Fitness. It was definitely noticed by a hiking club that I hike with on the weekends. I am anxious to continue with this fitness solution with Village Fitness and to see the other positive results from there group sessions.
