    They billed me for my visit that was supposed to be fully covered by my insurance even after I called them again to give them my health insurance info a second time. I called Anthem to contact them which they said it was taken care of. A few months later Optum sends me another bill for the same visit and I had to call again to ask why. They said it was taken care of and to disregard the letter. A few months later another letter arrives from Optum saying I owe them more money for the same visit. I have to call again tomorrow to see what is going on but a huge headache and hassle

    I have been here to see my Dermatologist Dr. Ram. From the time I arrive my experience has always been great. From the incredible Lola, who runs the entry show, to all of the supporting staff and the PA, ( I call Dr. Squgee) Just very nice and attentive people. Of Course Dr. Ram in great and very thorough. Ten stars !

    DISAPPOINTED ...... My Aunt had an XRAY a month ago . We waited a month for another appt to see her primary physician for the result. Dr said and his assistant that they do not have the result. I called OPTUM and asked if they did fax it over to her Dr. The lady said yes . So i verified the number and it was the right fax number. The lady said then to call your primary and tell them that we are sending it for the 2nd time and we are NOT SENDING IT AGAIN... hahahaha Very Nice SERVICE. So i sadi if the Dr's office did not get it again we have NO CHOICE and she said IM NOT GOING TO SEND IT AGAIN so WE WILL JUST MOVE TO ANOTHER INSURANCE i told her then i hang up. A friend just recommended SCAN TO US. SO I TOLD the lady i WILL JUST MOVE TO ANOTHER PLACE and hang up. WE DONT NEED SCAN ANYWAYS... Other place have nicer employees and service.

    OPTUM is a mediocre Medical Group. I prefer the Broadway location in Glendale, but I've only gone there to see specialists or have images taken. The Descanso location is awful. I have been going here for the last 4 years and they have changed my general practitioner 8 times! That's an average of a new doctor every six months. How can you expect a doctor to become familiar with a patient and to truly care about what procedures, specialists or medications that person might need when they're never there long enough for a follow up visit even! It's frustrating trying to get any kind of adequate care because of this, in my experience. Some of their specialists are very difficult to deal with as well. For example, the pain management doctor they sent me to is only in his office 1 day a week. How is this possible??! He is a pain management doctor, he handles all pain medications and treatments for pain. If I can't reach the doctor I'm required to go to when I'm in excruciating pain and need relief from it, what are my options?? I've been told that I just have to wait for the doctor and don't have any other options than to wait. If you know anything about prescription pain medications you know that waiting is not an option . It's just another thing that I find completely unacceptable.
