He inspired me as a kid. I loved reading White Fang. I was given books of his short stories growing up and I didnt realize how much more there was that I hadnt read.
Jack must have dialed in the most perfect day possible for my visit. I found out we were almost exactly 110 years apart, yet learning about his life I felt oddly close in spirit.
The park is great, there is more hiking than you can do in a day but as a passer through I felt I could do all the notable things in a day and I read every plaque.
If youre a fan of the author I recommend swinging through and learning about Hack and his wife Charmian.
