St. Joseph Heritage Family Medicine - Garden Grove

Physician Assist, Martin Waltsak, was incredibly rude and inappropriate during my telephone visit. He was combative and kept interrupting me; was not wanting to order simple, routine tests and screenings. Zero customer service skills or compassionate care; please get some training in how to conduct yourself like a professional. Really disturbing that a provider like this is being a barrier and stressor for patients going through serious health issues. Please save your judgements and agenda for your own personal time.

The staff, everyone I have met, is so very happy, friendly, professional, courteous, polite, helpful, warm and will make you comfortable and treat you with respect. No real wait on phone or in person unless there is an emergency. No reason to criticize any medical treatment received from either Dr. who cared for me. Though I miss my Dr of more that 30 years , Dr Buster who retired from Batavia Woods in Orange, the Garden Grove office has earned my trust and respect from receptionist to Drs.

My husband and I have been going here for years with Dr. Clark who was amazing. Now that we've been seeing Dr. Nguyen I have found the entire system and staff to be very unaccommodating to say the least. Everything is extremely slow and requires an appointment for a simple response on test results etc. but it's fine we followed the process.Now that I am disabled and unable to walk, I found it to be beyond upsetting that they would not provide me with a virtual appointment to discuss my test results where I was physically in office to provide the sample the previous day. The results were emailed to me by the lab the previous night, and the medical assistant told me that I wouldn't need to come in again just to hear my results from the doctor. She made a mistake and scheduled an in-office visit instead, and when I didn't receive a phone call, I called in. They said that I would need to schedule another appointment for another day to hear from a doctor. They wasted my time when I should've just gone to urgent care. I expressed my hardships and pain I was experiencing, but there was no sense of empathy or flexibility. They already know about my recent knee surgery, yet they were unwilling to accommodate. I find that to be extremely sad that we would call this healthcare.

I love the Drs here, but the front desk needs a lot of work. I tried rescheduling my appointment today. A receptionist was unhelpful, rude and disrespectful. Had the nerve to hang up on me when i wasn't even done asking my following question. This looks very unprofessional. And i suggest you hire people that can handle better customer service.

I've been going to this place for as long as I remember. My sister and I have been going here since we were children and now we're 18 and 21. I cannot express how horrible this system and place is. I didn't think it could ever get worse, but I guess with new staff and nurses it could. Today, August 24, my sister and I came for a simple covid test with an appointment at 2:15 pm. We arrived at 2:05 just to be early. We called in for a check in and a nurse told us to stay inside the car and wait in the parking lot. We asked if we had to confirm anything or call a number and she said no and to just wait inside the car for a nurse. 15 minutes pass by and my sister calls the place again and they say we have to park at a orange cone and call the number on it. Are you kidding me? What kind of place doesn't tell you the exact instructions and makes you wait way longer than your appointment? So ridiculous. We are waiting still and it's been almost an hour. For a simple covid swab test. A simple test that takes only about 2 minutes, even less. This place is outrageous. I go inside to ask how much longer, a male nurse tells me that the a nurse is with another patient and that she'll be with us shortly. A covid test can be done by anybody even those just sitting at the front desk! Just so ridiculous, don't come here please. Don't waste your time.
