Farmers & Merchants Bank

Unprofessionals very sketchy staff especially the bank manager she seems very upset all the time and unfriendly moving my money elsewhere bye !!!

First off, this is a beautiful and clean bank. And the vault's door is out of this world, such a beauty! I was so impress with the bank's layout and cleanness that I was thinking of switching both my personal and business account here!Unfortunately, my experience came short once I met the teller "Yolanda". I came here late morning today 1/11/2023 to cash a check from WSD. Being a non-client, I had called in advance and spoke to "Alex" regarding the check cashing procedure for walk in customer. Alex was very nice over the phone and gave me specific instructions to have the check cashed and reassured me that there are no additional fee to do so. I feel very comfortable with Alex and drove right over to the branch location. Upon entering the bank, I ended up with "Yolanda", as soon as I provided her with the check and told her I wanted to cash it, things started to go downhill from there. I provided "Yolanda" the check along with two form of IDs. She then took a good amount of time to exam the check and later on told me that the ink were of different colors and that she needed to call the check signor for verification purposes. She told me "because you are a non-client so I have to go through all these steps". Now, I have no issues with her doing all that but it is just her cold attitude that made me feel so uncomfortable the whole time. After she failed to get a hold of the signor, I told her to let me call the WSD school and try to get a hold of someone. I finally was able to get the director who signed the check on the phone and confirmed the check validity. "Yolanda" then told me to sign the back of the check and put my thumb print on the front without assisting me at all. It was like she just wanted me to be done and get out of the branch.I understand it can be stressful dealing with customers everyday but I was not there to cause any troubles nor I am asking her to do anything out of her way. I have cashed many checks at different banks and "Yolanda" is the first teller that I felt is not fit as a teller to be in the customer service position. A smile goes a long way, will gets you return customers, and it will makes your day better! With "Yolanda" the experience was like interacting with a "robot", not something you would like to interact with everyday.

Awesome! I love this bank. They actually answer the phone with a live person and are eager to help. I always see the same friendly faces when I go there. Good bank for the community. I feel safer with my money at a bank like this rather than one of these huge institutional lender who have questionable practices. Good place to bank.
