Super friendly staff as if their careers rely solely on personal shout out reviews. However, we put 3k down on a vehicle, they take the 3k from our checking account on the spot within literally a second. We finish up all paperwork get the car and leave. Run into 4 mechanical issues and had to bring it back 3 times for repair and part replacement with 30 days. The 4th time we said this was to much of a hassle for all these repairs for the cost of the vehicle so we began return process. They took our $3k down payment within a second it was gone from the checking account. We returned the vehicle and we were told we will receive our $3k down payment refund in 7 to 14 business days. Yes you can return the vehicle and yes you will receive your down payment back. But we made it just annoying enough, with the right amount of hassle that you won't want to do it again. 7 to 14 business days is wild.

The one star I am giving them is a reflection of the horrible experience we had at Carmax Fresno, CA. It is overwhelming to write everything that has happened there when we bought a vehicle from them. I will share one instance when they made us drive back home more than an hour, TWICE, to get our original Social Security cards, so they can process our purchase. I say twice because we bought a Nissan first then returned it for a Honda. It is so absurd to make us drive back home for the second time since they did not do a good job saving our original documents (SS card) in the first purchase. The lady manager who intervened and told us that the back part of the copy is not readable. We were just wondering, why the hell did they let us drive the Nissan out of their lot if our document is unreadable? Just to lay it out here, we have bought several cars from Lexus and Acura and they never required us to provide them with our original SS card. There's more but I will end it here..... On the other hand, I would like to thank Artikar N. for trying to make everything in our transaction right. We understand that she can only do so much and is answerable to her managers. Also, to Carina M. at the service department for fixing the issues we had in the vehicle when we drove it off the lot.

This was by far the worst car buying experience ever. The experience started off with a good phone conversation. However, the guy forgot to ship the car so I show up for my appointment a week later and theres no car 45 minute drive there and back no one at Carmax seem to even care, so after my car was ordered, I went to test drive it everything turned out to be great with a car however, the process to purchase the car with two checks in hand took three hours. They needed to verify that I was in fact, a business owner, which they didnt know how to do , they wanted a signed letter from the other business owner saying that I was a business owner when they could just check the state website. I completely understand protocols, but before arriving to the appointment, I called to ask Carmax what was the final price of the vehicle so I could have everything ready and if there was any additional information that they might need for me to purchase the car. time after time, they just didnt make it right Im super sad because I wouldve bought another car from them too.
