If I could not give any stars I would. A friend of mine was telling me that her elderly neighbor on a very fixed income asked for help and was refused because she lived in a mobilehome in Fresno. My friend was saying another owner of a mobilehome in Clovis they helped them. As my friend said the organization should be the same for all Habitat's not change for how each area feels like. Well I won't donate anymore to them since they are so selective.

The Fresno Habitat for Humanity has non experienced workers and utilize cheap materials. When questioned they get very defensive and talk in circles rather than fix the issues. They didn't take into consideration the homeowner's disabilities when replacing his amenities with unsustainable items such as a vanity lacking shelves, drawers, he is in a walker people how do you expect him to retrieve items from the bottom of a cabinet. His metal medicine cabinet was replaced with a box made of particle board that lasted two days before it fell off the wall. He has made several attempts to get this resolved with negative results. He says true I didn't pay but someone did and this is the type of service they give. They don't care about the elderly/ disabled in the Fresno community, it's all a show. They are not good stewards of the donations and moneys they receive. Think twice before giving to this organization.

I've volunteered at a few of their events. I've always been treated with kindness and respect. Their events have actually been a lot of fun. It's clear this organization cares about our community and wanting to help. Thank you Habitat for being in Fresno and showing how much you care about our community.

Hi, El! Thanks for your review. We must follow strict guidelines handed to us by our funding partners since repairs made on existing homes are usually made possible by sponsors and grants. These guidelines typically come to us from the state, city, and county levels, which means the decisions regarding who is helped and where are not up to our Habitat for Humanity affiliate. We're sorry we were unable to help your friend's elderly neighbor based on mandatory guidelines. We hope this clarifies any confusion!

We're sorry you continue to feel unsatisfied with the repairs we have made to this home. Our team has redone multiple repairs as requested by the homeowner. The homeowner signed the original Certificate of Satisfaction & Completion for the project, and he signed all following Certificates of Satisfaction & Completion for the repairs we finished as requested. All repairs were inspected and signed off on by the City of Fresno. We have promptly responded to all your questions by email and phone calls, and we have not received any responses in return. As has been previously explained, there were multiple entities working on this specific home and some of the requested repairs fall outside of Habitat’s scope of work. While it is unfortunate that you disagree with our guidelines and policies, we are legally unable to repair all the work done by other entities. All donations made to our organization are carefully utilized and strictly followed per donor requests.

Hi, Bea! We're so sorry you're having trouble getting through. Our phone line is open 9am-5pm during the week. Unfortunately, we're experiencing a very high volume of calls and voicemails and we have recently updated our options to help direct callers to the correct staff member. Your voicemail will be returned in the order it was received. If you would prefer not to wait for a return call, you can continue dialing our main number until you're able to get through to a live person. We promise we're here!
