La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fresno Riverpark

I cannot say enough good things about this place. My son had to be admitted at valley children's hospital for a couple days. I didn't get informed that I would have to get a room until 10:30 at night. I drove around looking at a couple hotels and their prices were extreme. I found La Quinta and walked in, Told the associate what was going on and they were more than helpful. I was able to get a room at a fraction of the cost of the hotel across the street. Despite the remodeling, and dust, this place was amazing. Customer service to the free breakfast, I was highly satisfied.

They were in the middle of renovations when we stayed so no pool access. Which was disappointing. Rooms are clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was decent. Love that coffee and tea were offered all day long.

Sadly this was the worst hotel on our West Coast itinerary. The room was clean and well equipped, but the bed light bulbs didn't work, the door handle was loose and the toilet flush handle was loose. Due to renovations both the swimming pool and the laundry were closed (which created a lot of inconvenience to us, since we had to wash our clothes by hand and they weren't even dry the next day). The ice machine on the bedroom floor was out of service. Finally the breakfast was very bad, there was very little choice. The waffle machine I think was not working, because the waffles were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside (I had to throw them away). Honestly, I don't recommend it.

Our room was dirty with blood stains over the side of the mattress, carpet, and TV unit. One towel and no TV remote. Breakfast first morning was univiting, with dirty tables.
