this place is very selective on who they may help. Ex i have a doctor letter of dietary need for health issues the admin staff feels its ok 2 have Me go buy My own food 2 deal with any and all medical issues 2 continue living there. No on site Food services 4 medical needs. So i am calling 4 help 2 remedy this issue cause the Director & assistant Director have forcefully informed Me if i want 2 eat what the doctor has prescribed 4 Me the go buy My own food. My name is Manuel I Mesa.I have complied with any/all directives 2 only B called a lier & drug addict in the same sentence By the Admin at Turning Point Belgravia. Help is being asked 2 help with the discriminatory stance they are displaying. HELP!!!!

I'm submitting this review not just based on my experience with the First Street Center but more of a global review based on my interactions with different Turning Point entities in Fresno. I stayed at their Continuum care and I lived there for 2 years. At first things were pretty supportive, but during the last year, I chose to move from one complex to another complex. There was a person there who was using meth, and would do things like knock on my door and make accusations about me stealing stuff, or other crazy, baseless accusations because she was a meth user. I reported these problems to staff and they did nothing except said that, "If I can't handle the living conditions I was welcome to move out." After enduring over a year of harassment there, the aforementioned meth user and I had an argument. That led to the meth user attacking me and hitting me with a chair. Turning Point responded by evicting me. Another problem I had with another Turning Point facility is the Turning Point facility called Pinedale Rural Mental Health. Now, Pinedale is a great place to get service, but the problem: I had to move out of the area, because I was homeless. When I came back to Fresno, I asked to resume services there, and I was told because I didn't live close enough to Pinedale, they refused to treat me. I do have PTSD and I am disabled, per an ALJ decision determined by the Social Security Administration. Because of a legal issue I ended up at their Belgravia Center. During my time there, I was told that I had to quarantine with other people because of covid-19 concerns. Okay - I understand the need to keep us all safe, but why does a person who hasn't even had his day in court yet have to cohabitate with a state felon who is a violent offender? That affected my mental health so badly that I had to leave the Belgravia Center, and I'm still homeless. I'm still homeless and I've asked Turning Point over and over and over again to provide help with housing, but all they wants to do is redirect the conversation to chemical dependency; even though I have over 15 years of clean time from meth and cocaine and many other dangerous chemicals. So, to summarize:this facility seems more interested in continuing the failed policy of the Republican drug war, than actually helping a disabled person have a safe place to live. That is something that deplorable people do.
