I hate stink bugs. Like I really, really hate them, especially bc there's no easy way to kill them without stinking up the entire vicinity (and also because they're an invasive, non-native species). So I was thrilled when my husband stuck a can of monterey stink bug spray in my Christmas stocking.....until I happened to glance at the "Precautionary Statements" on the can. What the Hell?!? This is basically a can of cancer, with the added benefit of neonicotinoids (widely attributed to the massive honey bee die-off and colony collapse which will inevitably cause a global food shortage that will take decades (not to mention thousands of human lives) to recover from). It is extremely toxic to aquatic life and should be used NOWHERE NEAR water sources of any kind, let alone around you, your kids, your pets, or anything you eat or eat off of! Everything I've just stated can be found right on the can (in tiny fine print) but holy christ, I am astounded that this mini Monsanto corporation can legally market this toxic sh**t for use in homes! The kingpins of the American drug trade are responsible for less human death and ecological damage than the people who create and sell stuff like this to the average american family, allowing us to poison our homes and the world around us. F***K it, I'll just keep flushing the damn stink bugs down the toilet.... thanks Monterey (Monsanto).
