While taking public speaking classes at Able2Shine, I noticed although their speaking skills have improved, they haven't been able to create particularly engaging content. When I reached out to Able2Shine's admin team, they were very hands on and personal with their advice to check out the reading and writing courses. Given my satisfaction with the public speaking program, I enrolled my child in their reading and writing class. I appreciated the variety of writing styles the teachers bring up in the class. They don't focus on the rigidity aspect of writing -- rather, they encourage it to be an extension of the writer's personal creativity/ideas.

I enrolled my child to a summer camp from their website, it shows the camp is 5 days a week. Two days before the camp started, I received the email that the schedule changed to only 3 days a week (before that they sent another schedule for 5 days a week of the same camp) and no tuition adjustment. I contacted their customer service to ask cancel and refund because this unexpected camp time reduced, but she told me it's always '3 days a week' and the refund can only be 90% credit points that can be used for other classes but not the actual money back according to their policy. Until I logged into my able2shine account, went to every link of that camp and sent the screenshot to prove there never is '3 days a week' information from their website, then the explanation is this is a 'bug' of their mobile version website, they already knew that. (Why I was still told it's always '3 days a week' if they already knew this 'bug'? ) Finally they agreed to refund after all these... Hard to believe this is happening.Update: they agreed to refund before Tuesday, but they didn't do that. Until I asked in Tuesday evening they sent a email to their accountant, and then no update. Today they contacted me again said if I don't withdraw they can give me one more week camp, of course I refused. Then their attitude became terrible. I just want my money back and end this most terrible experience soon.

Able2Shine has a wide range of after-school classes from public speaking, reading and writing, to stage performance. Kids from different age groups can always find what they need. My kid benefited a lot from Able2shine's public speaking classes, he told me that most of his public speaking skills are learned from Able2Shine, and he always got excellent grades on his  school presentations. During the SIP summer break, we registered different camps for him with Able2Shine: future entrepreneur, virtual hosting, monologue acting.... I could tell that he liked these camps a lot, he was having fun while learning new stuff. These camps also helped him to embrace new ideas, which is beyond what we can offer to him.

Able2Shine saved our life during this Covid-19 crisis. They offered online Spring Camp as soon as the Shelter-In-Place order took place in March. I came across their website and registered for my daughter. She had a blast and never stopped since then. All teachers are amazing and A2S customer service is the best! They are open to suggestions and welcome feedback. They always try their best to make things right or better. Big thanks to A2S!
