The teachers are openly religious, to the point where they punish their students for saying anything remotely disrespectful towards their god. Nothing is wrong with religion until you bring it to the classroom and push it onto the children, which is unethical and, in extreme cases, illegal. They also illegally punish and isolate children for not standing for or not saying the pledge. Scare tactics are also used to get the kids to "stay in line," like refusing to let them enjoy their recess and wasting hours on lectures about how theyre bad children and won't get anywhere in life. Negative reinforcement is valid, of course, but to the extent where you deny children their recess and chip away at their self esteems with no follow up positive reinforcement is unethical. The education itself is terrible; any child can spend hours a day refusing to pay attention and they may pass with straight A's. Learning isn't a thing when teachers coddle their students and lead them along by the hands for the sake of keeping up a good reputation. Those teachers should understand that the school is not the correct place to push their religious agenda onto the children and they should understand not to shame a child for asking questions and for their lack of understanding. They depend on severe negative reinforcement that is degrading and emotionally damaging to the child. It takes a thousand "You did good" compliments to get rid of one "You're a bad child and you're not good enough." These are children - impressionable, emotionally susceptible human beings whose first few years in school are critical to their development. This school is not a healthy learning environment.
