Sierra Foothills Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I was seen by Dr. Hill and his lovely staff a little over a week ago for an extraction. The front desk is amazing both Patrick and Bianca answered all of my questions and made the check in process seamless. Dr. Hill's assistant, Fred, was amazing. I was very nervous, I had never had an extraction before and wasn't too sure what to expect but Fred answered all of my questions and kept me laughing and distracted while I waited for Dr. Hill to come in. Dr Hill was just as lovely as his staff, very calm and understanding. He made sure that all of my questions were answered prior to treatment and made the extraction process quick and painless. I'm a week post, no more pain and my extraction site is healing beautifully. This is a great office that I would recommend to anyone looking for an Oral Surgeon. Thank you Sierra Foothills!

This is a review for my experience with Dr. Christansen because I did not notice any. He works in the Folsom office. I have been having tooth pain from an impacted wisdom tooth for 4 days, agonizing pain that had no relief from Advil and even Vicodin. Dr. Christansen and his team got me in as soon as they received the call Monday morning. The consultation process was great, I was very anxious, as I have severe dental anxiety, OCD, emetephobia, and GAD. He answered all my questions and made sure I was well-educated and aware of my choices. I was sent to get 6 teeth pulled, but I opted to just have one side done at a time due to my anxiety levels during healing. I was going to do just do the teeth that were hurting, but Dr. Christansen made the recommendation of at least doing one side at a time. While sitting in the chair waiting for sedation, I was having a full blown panic attack. He was as patient as he could be, I understand how frustrating it could be to have someone refusing the services they NEEED. He was firm (which I personally needed) but kind. And he was right. When we says he needs 30 seconds to get the anxiety to go away he really means it. I went from panic to asleep in about 30 seconds and dont even remember waking up. The first thing I remember after getting out of the chair was sleeping in a room and someone walking me to the car. I came home and slept and I honestly feel great. No anxiety, very little pain. Im able to manage with the Motrin and tyelonol recommended (as my emetephobia makes me fear taking strong medications). I have to get the rest done after graduation but after todays experience, I have no worry about it! Thank you Dr. Christiansen and his team for the support, understanding, kindness and paitence they showed to a difficult patient like me!

I am someone who has a very big fear of the dentist so I had not gone to one in over 30 years and the only thing that made m finally go was toothaches. From there, I was referred to Sierra Foothills OMS for the many teeth that needed to be removed, because I was so scared to have them pulled with just a numbing, I wanted to be put completely out. Well, things didn't work out that way and I needed 4 pulled immediately so I had to have it done with just the numbing shot, so needless to say, I was a mess about this. The staff is over the top wonderful from the time I walk in until I leave! Dr Christensen has to be the nicest, most patient person I've ever encountered at a dental facility, as well as his staff, which made my experience of going through my teeth removal better than I ever dreamed... I'm very grateful

So disappointed. Extractions over the years needed return visits for cleanup. After last billing error, have been continually harassed for duplicate consults. Highly unethical and disappointed in having procedure need fixing. Many other choices. Long time customer here who will never return and advise others not to either.
