In my role as a speech-language pathologist, I collaborated on care for a mutual client with BCBA Allen Gamboa at Juvo. Allen was flexible, thoughtful, intuitive, and very supportive of both myself as an interdisciplinary professional and of our client's parents. Moreover, the entire team treating the client (behavior tech and supervising tech) was wonderful!! From my experience working as an RBT and from observing speech clients, that is NOT universal across companies. I know it can be very frustrating trying to find an ABA provider that supports their techs as well as their consumer families. I would happily place my own kids with Juvo. Highly recommend!

If your child has cognitive challenges, this is probably not the place for them. My grandson went in here and learned new "bad" behaviors. Basically this place regressed him, is unorganized and understaffed. Don't expect timely, accurate reports, your point person is likely never there and then there is how they deal with some issues. A year of JUVO began with some improvements in behavior. The last few months, increasing use of subs, who were not on the same page as the Behavioral Therapist, seemed to be a factor in a lack of progress and some regression. Forget trying to work with the people that are suppose to matter. As to that "sensory room"? Weak play when a child's behavior triggers/stimulates a physiological reaction that injects some "fuel" into the undesirable emotional and physical behavior. Apparently they don't have time (or staff) to manage the behavior, so it is off to the so-called "sensory room". Oddly enough, the second day of normal kindergarten, one of his behaviors, self-wetting, that was not present before JUVO, stopped. Sad day when a child thrives in normal classes, before being placed in special ed.
