My boyfriend took me here for a belated Valentine's date and we had a blast! It exceeded every expectation (and they our expectations were already pretty high). The couple who runs the place was very sweet; we also loved their dog Coop (: The indoor museum/workshop had all sorts of cool antiques and information. You can really spend a long time in there taking it all in. I got a little emotional reading the story behind their redwood shrine, you can tell the family who runs it really cares for each other and the community. They had two really big horses in the stables and they were very well behaved and sweet. We are already planning another visit in the summer to soak it all in again when it's not so cold and damp! A must visit while in Eureka.

I discovered this show, The Craftsman on Discovery + Eric Hollenbeck and family is a real pleasure to watch. Erics fine detail in his craft reminds me of Sam Maloof. Thanks Eric for being who you are. My name is Pete Parnell from Halifax Nova Scotia Canada. (No Leak Pete) lol I have been in the pipe trades for almost 40 years . Its nice to see other Master Craftsman take pride in their work

Got a tour and took a stained glass class here with some friends. It was really cool to see the variety of workshops, gardens and historical items they have in the village and the teacher of the class was really patient and helped us each make our own piece of stained glass art. We had a ton of fun and I would definitely visit again!
