Recently needed to go to the hospital for another medical issue, drove right by Red Lieing I read all the posts since I was there 2 years ago. I can say one thing has not changed; the owner/manager continues to read the poor posts but not once does the manager/owner offer a refund, or a free night in order to reevaluate. Nor does the owner manager inform us -the victims -what if any resolution was made to their operations RED LION IS NOTHING BUT LIP SERVICE and gas lighting. WHEN IT COMES TO US REVIEWING THEIR PLACE. THEY ARE HOPING WE WON'T NOTICE. RED LION MY POST ALONE HAS BEEN READ 1,000 TIMES IN 2 YEARS. Based on what I've just read I still do not recommend anyone stay at Re Lieing Marshall 2024 ------------------ Previous Post DO NOT STAY HERE! I AM A PERSON WITH MOTOR DISABILITIES CONFINED TO A WHEELCHAIR. I STAYED IN THE HANDICAP ROOM. SEVERAL ITEMS WERE VERY DISTURBING. 1) AFTER PUTTING THE KEY IN THE DOOR, I DISCOVERED THAT THE DOOR GOT JAMMED I COULD NOT OPEN IT ALONE. I THOUGHT THAT A HANDICAP DESIGNATED ROOM WOULD HAVE A DOOR THAT COULD BE OPENED BY A PERSON WITH DISABILITIES. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN BY MYSELF IN MY CHAIR. 2) WHEN I FIRST ENTERED THE ROOM I LOOKED IN THE BATHROOM AND THE TUB WAS OVERFLOWING, THE SHOWER WAS LEAKING HEAVILY AND SPASHING ON THE EDGE OF THE TUB THE ENTIRE FLOOR WAS COVERED IN WATER. 3) THE HOTEL CLOCK WORKED JUST FINE. DIDN'T PAY MUCH ATTENTION UNTIL IT WAS TIME TO GO TO MY DOCTOR APPOINTMENT. THE HOTEL HAD NOT RESET THE CLOCKS FOR DAYLIGHT SAVINGS AND I ALMOST MISSED MY 8:00AM DOCTOR APPOINTMENT. 4) THE TWO LIGHTS OVER THE MIDDLE OF THE BATHROOM- ONE WAS A HEAT LAMP AND FAN, THE OTHER BULB WAS JUST A REGULAR BULB. THE HEAT LAMP AND THE FAN DID NOT WORK. 5) ONLY ONE OF TWO LIGHTS OVER THE SINK WORKED. 6) INTERNET ACCESS IS UNSECURED UNLESS YOU PAY FOR PREMIUM SERVICE. THAT MEANS SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO HAS THE ABILITY --COULD HACK INTO ANY DEVICES WITHIN THE HOTEL. 7) JUST OUTSIDE THE ROOM WINDOW THE VIEW WAS A TRAILER PARK. WHEN I CLOSED THE DRAPES A HOLE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER APPEARED. IT WAS AT EYE LEVEL. SOMEONE COULD WALK UP VERY EASILY FROM OUTSIDE AND LOOK THROUGH THE HOLE. 8) CONSIDERING THE NUMBER OF HOMELESS VERY EASILY PEOPLE THAT ARE SITTING IN FRONT OF THIS HOTEL AND SURROUNDING IT DOES NOT GIVE ME A FEELING OF BEING SECURE. 9) MY HOSPITAL PROCEDURE TOOK LONGER THAN I EXPECTED. MY PROCEDURE WAS AN INTERNAL CAMERA THAT I HAD TO SIT STILL WHILE IT TOOK PICTURES OF MY INTERNAL ORGANS. WHEN I FOUND OUT I TOLD MISTY FLOOR MGR) I NEEDED A MORE TIME TO CHECK OUT. AT 12:40, STILL WITH WIRES CONNECTED ALL OVER MY BODY HOOKED UP TO A BEEPING DEVICE. IS WHEN MINDY TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO BE CHECKED OUT BY 1:00 P.M. OR THEY WOULD BE WILLING TO GIVE ME A 50% TO LET ME STAY UNTIL 4:00 P.M. . I ASSUME THAT IS 50% OFF THEIR RETAIL RATE OF $150 A DAY. CONCLUSION!! THERE WAS NO OFFER OF COMPENSATION OR ANY TYPE OF REDUCTION OR ATTEMPT TO TRY TO MITIGATE THE ISSUES IN THE ROOM. INSTEAD SHE OFFERED TO LET ME STAY IN THE SAME ROOM WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS FOR AN ADDITIONAL 3 HOURS FOR $75. SHE MADE IT CLEAR THAT I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THE ROOM AND GO UP AND GIVE MY CREDIT CARD TO THE FRONT DESK AND REREGISTER.. MY NURSE HAD GONE FOR LUNCH THINKING THAT I WAS GOING TO BE FINE IN THE ROOM. INSTEAD WITH NO OFFER OF HELP BY THE HOTEL I HAD TO GO GET THE LARGE CART AND DRAG IT WHILE IN MY WHEELCHAIR. THE ONLY "HELP" WAS MISTY DEMANDING I PUT ON A MASK! I HAD TO PACK UP EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM, I CAN TELL YOU WE WERE NOT PREPARED TO HAVE JUST 20 MINUTES TO PACK AND GET OUT AND I CERTAINLY WAS NOT GOING TO PAY THEM TO LET THEM MISTREAT ME ANY FURTHER. IT TOOK ME ALL OF THE 20 MINUTES AND ANOTHER 10 BUT I DID GET EVERYTHING STACKED ON THE ROLLAWAY AND PUSHED IT OUT THE FRONT DOOR AND WAITED. DO NOT STAY HERE!
I AM A PERSON WITH MOTOR DISABILITIES CONFINED TO A WHEELCHAIR. I STAYED IN THE HANDICAP ROOM. SEVERAL ITEMS WERE VERY DISTURBING.
