I was referred to Dr. Unhold to extract a very painful tooth which, unbeknownst to the Dentist referring me, was abscessed. After the extraction, the excruciating pain continued. I burned through the 3 days of Norco he prescribed after a day and a half. They had me come back twice in 5 days, but Dr Unhold still would not prescribe me enough pain medication, neither did it occur to him that I had an abscessed tooth and needed to be on antibiotics. I have no history of opiod abuse, and was taking more Ibuprofen than recommended. When I called once again to complain of the pain, swelling in my jaw, malaise, and inability to open my jaw but 1/2", his assistant told me that I should see my primary care doctor "for the flu". So I did. It was she who realized that I had an infection, and put me on antibiotics. After two days, it began to drain, and the pain broke. Since then, I have developed an autoimmune condition in the eye on that same side that is now causing blindness.

From the consultation, to the aftercare, my experience with Dr. Unhold and his staff went above and beyond. His honesty, skill, and true interest in his profession make him great. The results are excellent , and the service was better than I have experienced from any medical professional. I highly recommend this organization to anyone looking for the best.

At our long-time dentists' referral, I took my 14 yo daughter in for a consultation, and to have her 4 wisdom teeth removed.  :-(  Dr. Unhold's office is clean, attractive and comfortably large.  The staff is very professional and friendly, very quick and efficient.  The consult was Friday, and we scheduled surgery for Monday morning.  Our appointment was at 10:50am, and we were driving away (minus the 4 teeth) at 11:55.  She had nitrous and general anesthesia, and Rx for Vicodin and Ibuprofen. The Dr. also made sure she had a long-lasting *local* anesthetic, so she'd stay numb all afternoon, giving me plenty of time to get her home on the couch, and then back out to fill the Rx before she felt any pain.  She was sore for most of a week, but healed up very well, and is very happy to have it behind her.  Dr. Unhold was extremely friendly, nice, helpful, definitely put us both at-ease.  The office called to check up on her that evening and to see if we had any questions.  I've already recommended their office to one or two other people with upcoming dental work.My only criticism was that I'm accustomed to going with my kids until they're "in the chair" and being able to sit with them as they wake up.  I wasn't allowed on this visit, although maybe if I'd requested it or pushed a little, it would have been ok.  As it was, a nurse came out to walk me through her care after a few minutes, and then Dr. Unhold came out after about 30-40 minutes to let me know how it all went.  It was just an hour when they asked me to drive around back to help escort her out to the car.  If I'd known the office was going to be so quick, I wouldn't have been as concnered about being there with her while she was waiting...  I don't think she must have had any waiting (anxiety) time at all!  Thanks all, I'm a happy mom.
