Black Angus Steakhouse

Used a groupon for the shared appetizer, 2 entree with 4 sides and a shared dessert. Everything was actually really good but the steaks were a bit disappointing in taste. I ordered ribeye ans it was cooked as I requested, just no taste. We added seasoning and it was fine. But you know, when you go to a steakhouse and the least palatable item is the steak, it's a little disappointing.

Black Angus is a steakhouse. They do steaks best. That is, the steaks are pretty ok but everything else is just fine. Thats why its not a mac and cheese house, or a potato house. Though I will say that you have a number of ways to eat potatoes here. Possibly too many? A word of warning though: the burnt ends and hatch chili mac and cheese was, no exaggeration, the worst mac and cheese Ive had in my life. It was sitting in a pool of water grease and it tasted like actual garbage. I dont know if it was spoiled or what, but it had a nasty taste to it. Yes, Ive had hatch chili before, so it wasnt that my palate was unfamiliar. Come to Black Angus for the steaks, stay for the memories, leave because you ate way too much.

Our recent visit to Black Angus was unfortunately quite underwhelming. The service was slow, and it took a significant amount of time for our food to arrive. We got seated at 7:15pm we kept asking our server 3x for bread and final got them. Our appetizer arrived fairly quickly but our food never arrived. After about 30-40 mins we asked how much longer for our food. She said she would check with the kitchen and we did not see her again. Then she showed up about 20mins later with a side salad and said it would be out soon. We waited again another 20 mins and still no food. Our kids were getting hungry and tired of sitting in the seat. After an hour and a half of waiting we asked for a manger and we were leaving. Told her we would only pay for what we ate. The manager came out with food, but seem hastly thrown together. The food was undercooked and the orders were incorrect. We told her we are not going to wait any longer for the foods to be fixed. She offered for us to take the food home and won't charge us for it. Even taking the food home we had to recook it and it lacked flavor. Overall, this experience fell short of my expectations. I would advise diners to be prepared for potential delays and to carefully check their orders.
