ADS Advocate Disability Services

ADS was a dream come true for us. They are RELIABLE (and not all other services are, believe me!)! The individual people are all WONDERFUL: Able, Trained, Kind, Hard Working, and Experienced (and not all other services I tried were, believe me!) ADS Care Givers COMMUNICATE and document their care giving time and the patient's needs, activity, concerns, etc. ADS supported me, as the family member care giver, also. They were a huge encouragement. ADS is the ONLY agency I can recommend!

ADS is an amazing company with care-givers who are empathetic and loving. We would not have made it through hospice for our mother without them. They clearly have a strong calling to care for others, and made us feel like we had extended our family to include them in our mom's care. Their experience allowed them to understood our feelings and confusion. They helped us to navigate the stages of our mom's care, and worked closely with the hospice team at Sea Coast to ensure our mom was always getting the care and help she needed. They always treated our mom with love, dignity, and respect. I just can't say enough about how they eased our burden, and allowed us to focus on being with our mom when she needed us most. Just a wonderful experience.

Cherie and her team of dedicated caregivers have been amazing to work with in taking care of my father for over 8 years. In that entire time, Cherie asked me to cover/fill in for ONE single 4 hour stretch during the pandemic. 4 hours out of 8 years while always maintaining the same devoted caregivers my father loved and so enjoyed being with! As incredible as that is, and much more importantly though, the ADS caregivers were my fathers companions, friends, traveling partners and then through his end of life, complete personal caregivers. I watched Cherie and her team seamlessly transition to be there for my father through every phase of his life over those 8 years. Cherie was wonderful to work with in advocating for my father's well being especially during hospice care. Having caregivers who know your family member so well in personal detail and who coordinate the absolute best care for any given circumstance (especially as they change quickly) is amazing! From Karen in the office to Nadirah caregiving to Cherie both managing and caregiving to Deborah both supervising and caregiving, my family had an incredible feeling of security for my Dad! The ADS team is ALWAYS there, ALWAYS caring, ALWAYS looking out for their charges. ADS caregivers do it ALL......from daily transportion to healthcare and medicine management, from shopping and cooking to household management, from friendly companionship to full hygienic and personal care.... always compassionate, always caring! I have experienced other caregiver "agencies" before with the revolving doors of staff, the billing confusion and the impersonal side of caregiving......and the ADS team is in a whole other league!! I can remember dropping into my Dads place and the caregivers would be sitting next to my Dad on his bed watching his favorite movie, eating popcorn, chatting and laughing together like life long friends (which they actually were)! And those same caregivers held him and cared for his every personal need through his end of life. My family and I will forever be grateful to Cherie and her team for their loving approach to caregiving and what they did for my Dad. #Blessed

The caretakers at ADS are all first rate. I was looking for qualified, empathetic caretakers for my mother who needed companion care in the beginning and then more support as she became unable to carry out many of the daily activities she had enjoyed doing on her own. I was referred to Cherie Lucas by a friend. What a godsend Cherie and her team were for my mother. Cherie came to my mother's house to meet my mother and me and spent two hours getting to know us. Cherie arranged for the things that her team would be able to do with my mom. The caretakers provided a daily report that was texted to Cherie and me. These reports were very detailed and included photos of meals and other activities that took place. These reports gave my siblings and me important information about our mother's changing medical needs. Cherie has a very hands-on approach and monitors every aspect of her ADS business. She encourages open communication with the client, family, caregivers and herself. I highly recommend the ADS team for families who are looking for the BEST caregivers in San Diego County.
