TAD Construction is an amazing construction company. I called them to replace the tile in my bathroom. It was kind of expensive but the tiles look amazing and are high quality. Timothy Damien made the process go a lot quicker than I had originally believe it would have taken. If you do ever call and need a good carpenter ask for Timothy Damien, for he is one of the easiest going and fastest working carpenter I have ever hired.

3 years ago, my 83 year old mother hired Timothy Damien of TAD Construction to demolish an old sun porch and construct a sun room in its place. I am writing this review at my mother's request as she does not use the internet much and also because she is so upset she refuses to have any further contact with Mr. Damien. During the initial bidding Mr. Damien was confident, friendly, and full of glib assurances. However, during the building process there were significant delays and ongoing cost overruns. When presented with the final invoice, once construction was complete, he had also included an additional $400 for installation of flooring he stated wasn't included in the original quote. She begrudgingly paid the full amount because at that point she simply wanted him out of her home. During the recent rains the sun room sustained significant damage. When a new contractor was brought in to assess the damage it was discovered that TAD Construction hadn't done any of the necessary prep work to the existing foundation prior to building the new sun room on top of it, nor did they adequately waterproof the base of the structure. This resulted in a negative slope up against the north side of the building where the rain water pooled up and, with no drainage, eventually permeated the structure. This caused over $4200 in damage and completely destroyed the floor. It was at this point that I personally contacted Timothy Damien, the owner of TAD Construction and after leaving multiple voicemails and eventually threatening to file a complaint with the Contractor's State Licensing Board he finally chose to return my call. He said that he was surprised about the damage, understood that my mother was not comfortable with him making the repairs and assured me that he would cover any costs that were not covered by her home owner's policy. My mother made a claim on her insurance, but it was denied because the company determined that the storm had not actually broken anything, but rather that the damage was the result of poor construction. Mr Damien asked to come out and take pictures of the damage. At the time he presented himself to be very understanding and acted like he wanted to make things right, but just a few weeks later, we received a 20 page document in the mail in which he denied any responsibility for the issues and refused to cover any of the costs of the repair. We feel that Timothy Damien, and TAD Construction, took advantage of my elderly mother and her lack of construction savvy to overcharge her for the initial construction (which, when all was said and done, came to over $19,000 for a 10' x 15' ticking time bomb) and then again when he wouldn't stand by his work, when it clearly wasn't up to code. Timothy Damien is very pleasant and always quick to provide an answer or excuse when things don't go the way he said they would, but he comes up lacking when it comes to substance and moral character. If you're looking for a trustworthy contractor for your home construction project, avoid Timothy Damien and TAD Construction at all costs!!!

We had a similar experience to the other reviewers. This contractor is a total con man. He talks a good game. Tim would come in the morning to give instructions to his worker then disappear for most of the day. The job took twice as long as it should have because there was only one person working. We were paying an hourly rate for a master carpenter that didn't do the work. We were luckier than some, but he still didn't finish the work. He left a huge mess in our back yard where they dumped leftover grout and he refused to clean it.The bench in the shower has a dip in the middle where water doesn't drain. His explanation was that there is water in a shower, that's why. The toilet his worker installed leaks and he said it wasn't a leak, it was supposed to be that way.  costs escalated because we had to purchase nails, screws, and other things that should have been a part of the cost estimate. Then he kept the leftovers. We are paying hundreds to fix the damage that he left in his wake. He is a neighbor and we thought he was a nice guy. He has pretty much burned his bridges in the neighborhood. Do not hire!  Wish I had looked at Yelp before we started.
