Eric Shapiro, DDS, (with over 40 years of experience) and his friendly, well-trained colleagues, offer compassionate, professional dental care. His practice is known as ENCINO DENTAL HEALTH AND COSMETICS. The offices are modern and well equipped. Views of the San Fernando Valley, from the dental chairs, are gorgeous. In treatment rooms, large computer screen displays x-rays, pictures, and graphs to help explain why the doctor's recommended procedures are necessary. Knowing what's going to happen next, and why, provides comfort and confidence. During the COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required to enter the office. Temperatures and blood oxygen levels are taken. Medical grade air filtration units are in every room. Hand sanitizers are available throughout the facility. Everything is wheelchair accessible. Bathrooms are located down the hallway and require a key from the dentist's office. Paid parking in the entrance lot. An attended parks your car at no additional charge. On sunny days, the coolest place to park is in the building's shade on the right (north) side of the building. Credit cards are not accepted for parking.

The dentists, technicians, front desk and everyone there are very kind and courteous. Its best to be a few minutes early (being on time is also fine). The dentist chairs are comfortable. I personally find it calming. As long as youre keeping up with your dental hygiene, the teeth cleaning and appointment in general goes by relatively quickly (considering its a dentists office). Everything is super clean.

Dr. Shapiros office had the gall to call me up and cancel the day of the appointment. After I waited 3 weeks to see Dr. Shapiro with a temporary crown. Ive been seeing Dr. Shapiro since 94 and Ive always gotten great work from him I havent seen him in quite a while but was in dire straits because of a dentist that I didnt have the confidence in completing the re-crowning of my mower. I made an appointment and had to waited for three weeks to see Dr. Shapiro. I was very clear with his staff about my situation had x-rays emailed to his office staff. Dr. Shapiros office had the gall to call me up and cancel the day of the appointment. Of which I was coming from San Diego. Why didnt Shapiros office tell me there was a problem three weeks earlier. Now I have a temporary thats loose and nowhere to go. Where is the Dr. Shapiro I knew that cared about his patients?

This is the best dentist I have ever been to. I, like many others, do NOT like going to the dentist. This was my first time there after being referred by my boyfriend. The front staff are super friendly, helpful, and kind. All of the dental hygienists were extremely knowledgeable, kind, and gentle. The dentist I saw (Dr. Jarmond) explained everything to me and was very patient. She helped create a plan for my teeth and was so so kind. I highly recommend going here and am now so much more comfortable making an appointment and getting myself there.
