Our experience with mega construction was exceptional . We hired them for our garage conversion and they did a phenomenal job . We hired them after they did 3 of my neighbors garage conversion. Sam the project manager and David the owner were professional and detailed . Samantha the office manager kept us updated throughout all the project . When looking back throughout the project we cant find reasons to complain . We are very pleased with the quality of the job . Our experience with mega construction was very positive and we will be more than happy to recommend this business to whoever looking to do garage conversion or any home improvement project .

Review for Mega Development & Construction, INC - Lic # 1102277 Pros: - Commenced work promptly, as promised. - Rapid response for initial quote. Cons: - Sales approach was overly aggressive and pushy, which should have served as an early warning. - Promised a dubious "discount" for immediate decision-making, using leftover materials as a lure. - Quoted $14,626 for a complete roofing job on an 1100 sq ft single-family home, with a $1000 deposit and balance due upon completion. - The quote process lacked thoroughness; relied on satellite views instead of a physical roof inspection, despite having access to do so. During the project: - The claim of 20% damaged wood replacement included in the quote was quickly disregarded. I was informed mid-demolition that 60% of the roof was damaged, demanding an additional $6,000. - The salesperson's tactics escalated to high-pressure calls with other customers to vouch for their service. - After a dispute over the sudden price increase, the job was halted. Initially, I was told there would be no charge for stopping, but was later pressured to pay $1,500 for the partial work done. Positive Aspects: - The subcontracted workers on the roof were exceptional - hardworking and courteous. However, it's notable that Mega Development & Construction, INC does not hold a roofing license. Resolution: - We eventually hired another company, which confirmed that the damage was indeed within the expected 20%, contradicting the inflated claims by Mega Development & Construction, INC. Conclusion: - My experience underscores the age-old wisdom: be wary of pushy sales tactics. While the job was started swiftly and the subcontractors were commendable, the overall experience was marred by aggressive sales practices, lack of transparency, and questionable ethical standards.
