Run away from this firm as far as you can. I have been a client since 2015. Last year they had several months delay finishing my taxes. This year I gave them all info on 2/13/23 and asked them to do it by 4/15/23. Of course they have not done it. But that is not the best part. In February they told me they want to raise the monthly fee as the workload is way more. I asked them to give me a proposal. It took them more than 2 months to give me a proposal on 4/27, so 12 days after tax deadline. They proposed a 300%, yes 3 times price increase and retoractive from 1/1, stating that the workload is soo much. I asked the, to detail what has changed between 2022 and 2023 as I am not aware of anything. It took them 2 weeks to respond simply saying it is a lot of work. I refused it and hired a new CPA. They told me I am not their client anymore. At this point I was like, OK paid 5 months of fees in 2023 and will not get much out of it, but I asked them when they will be ready with my 2022 tax returns. They told me they are not doing anything. I confronted them that all fees were paid on time that was agreed and they have to finish the job they were paid for and already late by a month. They told me they are not late as CA is a disaster territory and deadline has been pushed to mid-October and as I am not paying monthly fees, they are not doing anything. I told them the 2022 fees were paid, so the job needs to be completed, I am fine loosing all my 2023 paid fees, but in exchange I want my tax return within 2 weeks (already been a month late). They refused. At the end they said I am petty as I made so much money in 2022 that I can easily afford the 300% increase. So basically they said, hey boy, you made a lot of money, give us a huge chunk of it or we are not doing the job we have been paid for already. Run as far as you can from these greedy unethical people.

My policy is to only write good reviews, but this is well justified and it may help someone considering hiring this business. Mr. Yoram Dor was extremely rude when I called him with tax questions. He told me I was bothering him;that this was his busiest time of year,and I had done nothing but bother him. My husband believes Mr. Dors rude behavior was due to our not being one of his wealthier clients. Another accountant we subsequently hired was horrified that anyone caring about their reputation would speak to a client this way.
