Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe

It was different from what I originally thought, which isn't a bad thing. You order up front when you enter. I can tell there were a lot of regulars. My food was good. I had their version of Chilaquales (sp).

I'm glad this place is still/back open. I had my go-to tofu chilaquiles, and I swear it is better now than before. Tasty tomatillo-based sauce and some hearty black beans yum!

This place will satisfy your taste buds and your tummy. Lots of options offered on the menu and will definitely be back to try more items. Just the right vibe for a diner and staff are friendly and attentive. Street parking is so so depending what time you go but food is worth the experience for sure!

I had breakfast of eggs and pancakes, which are tough to mess up. Was i blown away? Nah. I ran out of syrup and would've had to get up for more. That or flag down a non dedicated waiter. I should back up. This place is in sketchy Emeryville with private parking and warning signs everywhere about not leaving your valuables in the car. Once you walk in, you must order at the counter, pay, AND TIP! All before getting your food. Then you take a number and seat yourself. Honestly, i only came here because i was working nearby. You can't have nice places when your odds of getting robbed are near 50/50.
