The dentist is thorough and patient-driven. She is happy to discuss options and is up front about costs (which are very reasonable). The front desk is efficient and promptly sends paperwork and x-rays to more specialized dental offices when requested.

I used to go to this dental office for my yearly cleanings, but not anymore. I gave this dentist a few tries, but decided to try another place because I wasnt happy with my experiences here. After trying another dental office, I realized how my dental cleanings at Marina Dental were below subpar. The dentist is very nice; however her dental cleanings are not thorough and are very quick. I would be in and out in about 15 minutes, including wait time, x-rays, and the cleaning, which is way too quick to be comprehensive. I experienced this every time I visited this dental office. In addition, the equipment used is older and not newer technology.

My first impression of this place was not great, but I gave them another chance at my second appointment. At both visits, I felt rushed and Doctor Amani was a little rude. We all have bad days and unforeseen circumstances occur and we get behind, but I couldn’t let it slide at my second visit. When I had my cleaning, she was very aggressive and I politely asked her to be more gentle - no change whatsoever. I was told the pain was caused by my tooth sensitivity and gingivitis due to lack of care and that I needed to take better care of my teeth. While that may be true, there’s no need to be rude and aggressive about it. I’ve never had my gums bleed so badly at the dentist and I never had severe pain after a cleaning until I came here. The whole appointment felt very rushed. Maybe 15 minutes spent on my entire cleaning. Never had a cleaning done like this before. I know I have no knowledge when it comes to dentistry or reading X-rays, but Doctor Amani did not seem to know how what she was looking at and told me very different information at both appointments. Or maybe she was rushing herself once again. When I kindly brought this up and asked for clarification, she was very rude and arrogant about it. The entire place did not look very clean or very organized either, which I can overlook if everything else is great. I noticed there was only two staff members in the entire building during both visits. Hire more staff if you need the help. If you can’t, find another way to make your work more manageable otherwise you’ll lose patients and money in the long run. My new dentist today mentioned that my cleaning was done poorly and kindly offered to have them cleaned again free of charge and was very kind and professional. Despite being busy, they took their time and answered all my questions. I don’t like leaving bad reviews at all, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody based on my experience. It’s sad because I was told great things about this place and Doctor Amani by a few people.
