We are so grateful for Marissas help throughout our home buying process. As first time buyers we felt intimidated about what the right steps were for looking for a potential home for ourselves. Marissa was patient, helpful & understanding to all our needs & wants for our future home. Fast forward to now, we are proud homeowners to our beautiful new home. Thank you Marissa, you are amazing!

I was very hesitant on writing a review. I am only doing this to share my experience to prevent this from happening to another client. Marissa was the listing agent for the sale of our home. I initially was very pleased with how she presented herself and our home, but that changed after we entered escrow. There were a lot of inconsistencies in things she had told us. She had poor communication. We received an offer on July 14th at 6pm and accepted on July 15th at 2pm. On July 14th at 3pm I spoke with her on the phone and she informed me about that offer she had written up. I asked her if the viewing from the day before wanted to put an offer in and she said no. On July 19th we were informed, by the realtor from that viewing, regarding an offer his buyers had submitted to Marissa on July 15th. We were blindsided as we had never heard of this offer. He let us know that on July 14th he spoke with Marissa and she told him to have the offer in by July 15th. None of this was relayed to us. She says that realtors often back out and never follow through. We had 3 days to wait for it if we would have known. The offer came in 3 hours after we signed. My issue is she had info pertaining to the sale of our home and did not disclose. As a licensed realtor she should be aware of her code of ethics. Article 1 Standard of Practice 1-7. All offers, regardless if in contract or not, need to be presented until closing. Unless advised otherwise by seller. I never wanted to cancel with the buyer. It was not about going with the other offer. It was the lack of trust we had with her. We could not cancel with her since we were in contract. I did speak with her supervisor, the deal was she would continue with our sale but he would be behind the scenes and making sure everything gets handled properly. To our knowledge, they both were handling the sale. We were in a tough situation. I had to remind her on contingency removals that her buyer was out of contract with. It was a dual agency but I felt she was only acting as the buyers agent. She lacked advocacy for us and did not have our best interests in mind. After the deal fell through due to failure of negotiations after appraisal. We found a new realtor afterwards and went back to the other realtor and offer that was withheld from us and closed within 3 weeks. I am very happy our home did get sold after such an unnecessary long and stressful process. ETA: I am sorry that you feel we are doing this to tear you down. Those are not our intentions. I have the right to factually inform others of our experience. I never once said I wanted to cancel to go with another offer. I wanted to cancel with you. I was fine to continue with the buyer. So, for you to insinuate that I wanted to cancel for another offer is wrong. Why would I want to go for a lesser offer? That does not make sense. I am aware you do not control the appraisal and your buyers finances. Nowhere did I blame you for that. I appreciate everything you had done for us. I said that I was pleased with how you presented our home. Also, I find it very distasteful of you to bring up the passing of my grandfather. If you could not have shown even more unprofessionalism. I cannot believe you will throw that in my face. I am not sure what more I can do to show how grateful I was for that? Was I to stay silent on my bad experience with you? It is sad that you mention money that you spent but what about the money we had also spent? Why is this now about your loss when my review was about us and our experience with you. I am very sorry that you felt the need to feel victimized by this review when in the end we were the ones who had the horrible experience due to your actions. ETA: We will always disagree due to our own perspectives. I can not engage in this with you further. This is our experience and I wish it would have been differently. We are not hurt. I hope one day you can see our side of things. Thank you Marissa. I wish you well and in all of your future endeavors. Take care.
