Terry is an amazing tutor who's extremely knowledgeable, supporting, while honest to make sure that you get through what is necessary to succeed in the class. He's also comedic and helps make the sessions much more entertaining to be in. A highly recommended tutor; I've never seen anyone better!

Terry is one of the most qualified and distinguished math tutors in service. His teaching style is specifically tailored to your needs and to your pace. As his student of almost 5 years, it did not take long for me to recognize his relentless dedication and patience for his students. I started off in CC Math 7 (the lowest math in 7th grade) and with Terry's guidance, I jumped ahead 3 entire math courses from where I started. I transferred to Advanced Math 7, took Algebra 1 in the summer, and after a confident year of Geometry in 8th grade I was able to select a path in high school that allowed me to finish both Calculus AB and BC by my junior year. I would not have been able to score a 5 on my Calculus AB test without Terry, and I'm sure my BC score will prove to be nothing less of a 5. Terry is also extremely patient and considerate. You will clearly see his passion for his job and his unparalleled authenticity in just a few sessions. Terry has taught both me and my brother with a rigorous tenacity that has been transparent across all of our 5 years with him. As students, we have days where we lack focus or endurance because of a long day, but in the 5 years I have been with Terry, I cannot tell you one time where he was lacking in any way, regardless of the time or situation. I have recommended several of my friends to him and all of them have been absolutely grateful. Furthermore, here is what sets Terry apart from other tutors: he knows the math curriculum of the local high schools like the back of his hand(SPMS, CMS, SMS, DBHS, WHS, THS...etc). Not only does he have most of the AP test problems literally memorized with the exact year and section, but he can literally describe to you the personality of a random Diamond Bar High school teacher without ever having met them before. He can closely advise you on which math classes to take along with the rigor and workload to expect. These are just a few impressive feats Terry has in his pocket. In addition, I had the privilege of fostering a personal relationship with him and I encourage his future students to do the same. Terry is an extremely easy-going and comical individual who will always try to make you laugh. Tutoring sessions are not conventionally something to look forward to, but for me, our tutoring sessions were something I enjoyed after a rigorous day of being a high school student. He has a way of balancing our tutoring sessions with both fun and surprising efficiency. Although you may not always laugh at his jokes, one thing is for sure: you will always understand the math. I think back to my experience with Terry and I'm still so glad that I had him to help me through my rocky math journey back in high school. Once my sister had entered high school, she was in need of a math tutor for trig as well, though she is leagues better at math than I ever was. With hard work and the very knowledgeable and caring demeanor provided by Terry, my sister managed to pass trig! I'll put it this way: Terry is a lifeboat for anyone who is struggling with math in class. This man will pull you out of the water and even provide you a steaming hot cup of coffee and snacks to go with this daring rescue! There are many math teachers who prove to be less than helpful for their students who are in need of assistance and encouragement, and it's quite frankly shameful for them to lack such care and patience in a field that requires so much of both. If you or someone you know is struggling with math, please give Terry a call! Not only will you understand math better and have it explained in a concise and manageable way, but you will also gain a mentor and a longtime friendship! I've had many terrible tutors in my lifetime, all of whom have discouraged me greatly. Not so with Terry! He's wonderful in every way and after nearly 10 years of knowing him, I can safely say you won't find another tutor as good as him! I mean, the man writes upside down too, which still mesmerizes me! not gonna lie, i was struggling during my first semester in a trig class i was taking at a community college, especially since i don't learn the best with online classes, but i'm glad i had terry to help me out!! i actually contacted terry really late into the semester, so there wasn't much that could be helped, but i managed to pass the class with flying colors come second semester with his support, when i took it again!! a's on everything; it was great!! i had a very positive experience with terry; he genuinely wanted to help the student understand the material, and would sometimes even go overtime in order to achieve that. he was also very personable and friendly, and would teach the material in different ways in case it was easier to understand for the student from another perspective. moreover, he rarely had any trouble understanding problems, if at all. this all occurred during quarantine over zoom, by the way, and i don't recall ever having any technological issues, which was great!! terry really loves what he does, as well as math in general (lol wish i could relate). he even told me that he wanted to take more math classes when they weren't mandatory anymore, which is something i can't relate to either haha. his email shocked me too; it was something along the lines of "mathisreallyfun" lol. in all honesty, i've never met someone who liked math as much as terry. also, his experience is no joke; he's been tutoring for quite a while now, and knows the ins and outs of everything related to math. all in all, terry is an amazing tutor i would definitely recommend!!
