    Coming to Dr. Virk as a new patient was the worst experience Ive ever had with any doctor. The eye exam was the most rushed, least thorough exam Ive ever had. Very impersonal, didnt ask if I had questions or concerns, barely even looked at my eyes. She called me afterwards because she heard that I was not happy. I was not interested in talking then, but once I received my new contacts in the mail and the BC and diameter were different than my old prescription, I decided to call back to discuss my previous appointment and contact prescription. She was rude and seemed annoyed that I didnt know the contact numbers would be different, when shes the one who told me the contact prescription would be the same and mentioned nothing about manufacturer limitations during the appointment. When I went over my list of complaints from my visit on the phone, she tried to turn everything back on me, that it was my fault for not speaking up, after I already explained that I have severe medical and social anxiety. I shouldnt have to ask to be given updates on my eye health, thats your job. And no one should have to say they have medical anxiety to be treated like a normal new patient, and I dont think it wouldve made a difference here since I was treated terribly after saying I had it over the phone. No compassion from Dr. Virk, major attitude, and when I called her out for her attitude, she said she had none, when clearly she did. Super inappropriate behavior from a doctor to a concerned patient, especially given that I was audibly crying on the phone and just trying to understand how it went so wrong and ask the questions I didnt get to ask in my appointment. Her apology was insincere and riddled with sarcasm. I want to see women professionals succeed, but I worry for her patients who have legitimate eye issues, not that my astigmatism, dry eye, and contact discomfort werent legitimate. Attached is a list of my complaints. Also while I was there, another patient was complaining, but I wont divulge their info.
