We dined at Covina Hermanas last night and had a terrible experience regarding service and the food. I have a gluten intolerance. I ordered an item off the menu that says (GF) next to it- despite the description saying it is served with flour tortillas. Upon ordering, I advised the waitress of my food sensitivity and asked for corn tortillas. After two delicious tortillas into my meal, I realized they tasted way too good to be made of corn. I called the waitress over and she confirmed they were flour, not corn, despite her asking the kitchen for corn tortillas when putting my order in. The lighting in this restaurant is very dim or maybe I could have caught their error before eating them. Either way, we received terrible service with waters not being refilled and the table not being checked on. Now Ill be sick for a few days because of their lack of accountability. I didnt want to make a big stink of the error in front of my friends we were with- we just wanted to have a good evening- but that error is a big one and the waitress should have apologized and sent a manager over. Neither happened because the service was just bad.
