I have had a wonderful experience with the office, the technicians and the dentist. Everybody was thoughtful and extremely helpful in navigating this new area for me. They made an oral Appliance that was specifically for my mouth and worked with me until it fit properly and addressed my issues. I am very grateful to this office and highly recommend the staff and services.

Dr. Brown is amazing and specializes in TMJ. I went to him because my jaw had locked and Dr.Brown and his staff exceeded my expectations. Although, I was a bit scared he educated me and put my mind at ease during the treatment. If I could give him a million stars I would. Thank you for your time and service! I 1000% would recommend.

Dr. Alvarez is incredibly knowledgeable, takes his time with patients and helps educate you along the journey. I give him my highest recommendation. The service at the office is also superb.

I was referred to Dr. R. Michael Alvarez for TMJ through the Kaiser Maxillofacial Department. Once I was referred, Dr. Alvarez's staff new exactly how to process the referral and I had an appointment within the week of referral. The staff there are very friendly and very thorough in reviewing the pre-appointment questionnaire so that all symptoms and issues are made known to the doctor. Dr. Alvarez is very experienced in treating TMJ issues. He was very informative and took the time to educate me on how the structure of my jaw was the cause for the grinding and clenching that was causing TMJ. He described how a specially made appliance, along with exercises that I do daily at home, would remedy the locking I had been experiencing for decades that I learned was due to wearing a night guard. The first night I wore the new appliance, my jaw no longer locked. After two appointments for minor fine tuning of the fit, which I was also able to get those appointments very quickly, I am no longer worried my jaw will be further damaged from the grinding and clenching.
