Gayler Design Build

After interviewing multiple companies for well over 10x months we finally met George Gayler. He was professional, personable, and realistic about our project. After a few additional meetings we ended up hiring Gayler Design Build to build an outdoor pavilion. We were part of the process every step of the way. They made a point to double, and even triple check, with us before making permanent decisions. Eg: we met several times during the process to discuss the placement of the lights, fans, and heaters although this was in the original design plan. It's difficult to know how the space feels until various elements are created, so we were appreciative that we had the option to make last minute changes. They also documented everything so we had a point of reference after meetings and design choices were made. In the end, our pavilion turned out better than we expected and the quality is top notch! I would absolutely recommend Gayler Design Build to anyone!!

We wanted to remodel our master bathroom plus a laundry room and guest bathroom immediately adjacent, about 300ft2. They said to expect between $150K - $200K. We then reduced the scope significantly to only the master bath and closet, about 200 ft2.  I wanted new walk-in shower/fixtures/tile, refaced cabinets, new mirrors, new tile floors and a closet upgrade with carpeting. I set a target budget of $50K. They called me and said they didn't work on these smaller projects and we now were probably not a good fit.  Engage them on large projects with blueprints, designers and subcontractors  and expect hundreds of thousands.  For small focused projects go elsewhere.

It's been a long time since Gayler worked on our house but we have to provide an update.We moved out of California and finally got around to selling the California house.  So why the review update?  We sold the house for WAY over ask, cash deal, quick close, in large part because of the Gayler work done on the house.  Everyone who viewed the house was impressed with the quality of the work Gayler did and wanted to know who did the work.  When we told the potential buyers it was Gayler, the offers came in.So we loved the work they did on the house and it turned out to be one of the rare times when home improvements turned into a very lucrative investment.  Something to consider when choosing a design/build firm.

Gallery has done both a master bath and a kitchen remodel in the last decade and both results were exceptional. In fact, both were completed during the summers when we were at our second home as we left just after signing off on the designs, projected cost, and construction schedules. I could not recommend a design and build contractor more fully and positively than I do this firm.

Let me take this opportunity to thank the Gayler team for transforming our master bath from a brown and yellow tiled nightmare into a gorgeous oasis.  The project went smooth as silk, and finished on budget, and on time.  We developed close bonds with the people in the office, as well as the on site team, and all the people who supported the project in their various capacities.  We are very happy we chose Gayler for our remodel!!
